First chapter again!!

Ok.. I will hand it again!!! I spoke to Philippe (my supervisor) this morning and he want me to send it again as soon as possible... Val is cheking it again and I will ask Birgit again... Hopefully she will have a couple of hours free to read my first chapter again!!!

Today was a foggy day, it's weird to me anyway... I went to the town because I needed my oats, so I took a picutres...

hey Guys... I've been very busy.. fisrt chapter is almost done and working in the second one, the delivery date for the second one is December the 10th.. so working hard on it... I don't have to much to say... for the course of web programming, not too much.. is really good, but i have to dedicate more time to my thesis, so working around but no the time and energies I really wanted...

Hola muchachos... he estado bastante ocupado.. primer capitulo esta casi hecho y trabajndo en le segundo capitulo. la fecah de entrega patra el segundo es el 10 de diciembre.. dandole duro a esa monda... No tengo mucho que decir, el curso de programacion de web sites, es bueno pero tengo que dedicarle mas tiempo a las tesis asi que nada, dandole de a poquitos pero no cone las ganas y el tiempo que yo quisiera...

anyways, everything is going good!!! Last saturday, I went to a Toga party, sort of party when you have to dress a toga, sort of romanian fashion, excuses, but I don't know too much about it.. At first I decided not to go, because i wasn't in the mood, but Sani and karim, these guys put some pressure on me and then..... I went... the worse party I ever seen in my life!!! my gosh... this swedess.. they are hmmmmmmm... anyway.... the funny thing was the toga thing!!! the girls was dressing this thing and karim, sani and me.. were the guys!!! jejeje.. we came early and the place was almost empty, a bunch of guys dancing between them.. it was more like a gay party.. no offenses with gays... at the end, I got bored... and came back to home at 12... puffffffffff... the worse party in my life...

de todas formas, todo esta bien!! El ultimo sabado, me fui a una fiesta de Togas, es como lo que vestianlos romanos hace siglos, que pean por mi ignorancia pero no se mucho de eso... yo habia decidido no ir, pero karim y sani, insistieron atnto que termine por ir.. la peor fiesta que he estado en mi vida.. esto suecos... hmmmmmmmmmmmm.. de todas formas, lo chistoso fue la toga.. las muchachas estaban visitiendo esa vaina y karim, sani y o. eramos los muchachos!!! jejeje.. llegamos temprano y el lugra estaba vacio.. sin ofensas, pero parecia una fiesta de maricas.. al final me mame y regrese a la casa como a las 12.. puffffffff.. la peor fiesta en mi vida...

This picture was taken today at 3:47 pm. It was nearly dark. Weather right now is not that good. The sunrise is at 8 am and the sunset is at 3:45 p.m. So, my biological watch is changing, but I still a bit lost in day time....

Esta foto la tome hoy a las 3:47 pm. Esto es para que se hagan a la idea de como esta el clima por estos lados. Amanece a eso de la 8 am y anochese a las 3 pm. Asi las cosas, las horas de luz son muy pocas, eso como que trata de hacerte perder un poco, es como si tuvieras menos horas al dia. Para mi es fundamental, sudamericanos somo ser de luz, cuando la oscuridad llega tu sientes que el dia se fue, pero mentiras, sigue temprano y ahi que seguri haciendo muchas cosas... Eso en mi tarda un poco, a lo sumo un par de semanas, en cierta forma tengo que cambiar mi horario. Antes estaba estudiando de 8 a 12, regresaba a la casa, preparaba almuerzo y de nuevo pa la U de 2 p.m. a 5 p.m. Despues de eso, al parque a hacer ejercicio. Ahora a las 5 la oscuridad es total. De manana en adelante voy a estudiar de 8-12 y depues de eso al parque a hacer ejercicio hasta la 1:30. Regresare a casa, me preparare un suculento almuerzo y descansare hasta las 3 o 4 pm. arrancare de 4 a 8 a los sumo 9pm. Espero me resulte el cambio, voy a probar esta semana a ver como me va.

Today I attended a conference in RFID technology. It was really interesting, the speaker was the general manager of Sokomat, this is sort of supplier for RFID technology, they produce the tags used in many applications like access control, logistic, waste management, sport timming, etc... One fact is interesting, the first application was in pigeon races, there was a lot money involve in this races, so they decide to put tags in the pigeon's legs to avoid cheating in the participants. As usual, germans was the first in applied this sort of technology in the keys' car. The key is porting a RFID tag, and the engine system is porting the other tag. So, even if you have the mechanical copy of the key of one car, you cannot turn this on, because you need the RFID match at the same time in order to start the engine.

Marcus meeting

Ok... Marcus meeting, he is my cosupervisor and the program director fo Ubqiuitous Computing Master. The thesis meeting was really good, I explained the purpose of my thesis and the very idea, exposed my thesis plan and the work I done so far!!! Everything good, actually it is one of his research interests and at the same time he gave some advice about my main concern. How to include the ubiquitous' concept. My thesis include open source and cooperative work rather than ubiquitous. But it seems I'm working on the right path and hopefully will be finished in March. After this meeting I realized it is almost impossible in January. I will try to write as much as I can in Ronneby and left a few things for next year.

Biryani - Pakistanian Dinner

Ok... muchas cosas han pasado desde el sabado. Hoy es martes. El sabado en la noche los muchachos de Pakistan hicieron una comida porque me iba el domingo, pero eso nunca ocurrio. Yo sigo aqui en Ronneby y seguire en Ronneby hasta Enero. despues de ese mes, yo no se!!! les digo mas tarde!!!

Ok... a lots of things has been hapenning since saturday!!! Today is Tuesday. In saturday night the pakistaninan guys made a dinner for me because I was going to leave in sunday, but it never happened. I'm still leaving in Ronneby and I will still leaving in Ronneby till January. After that month, I don't know!!! will tell u later!!!

Pakistanian way, use to eat with your hands, ok I did it, a new experience for me, the feel is different and weird!!!... some pictures!!!

Lo Pakistanies, acostumbran a comer con las manos, ok yo lo hice, una nueva experiencia, se siente diferente y raro!!! algunas fotos!!!

Val tambien estuvo en la comida, la verdad estuvo deliciosa, esta gente come riquisimo y el olor es delicioso. Una cosa que se que a ustedes no les agradaria es el olor, bueno el de la comida es riquisimo, pero ellos huelen un poco fuerte, si te arrimas mucho puedes sentir un poco el aroma a grajito!!!! jejejejejeje. Hablamos riquisimo, me contaron de su cultura, su religion y la forma en que se organizan. Como se relacionan con las mujeres, etc. Una cosa que me impresiona es que nunca hacen fiestas como las de nosotros y mucho menos beben alcohol. Ellos no saben lo que es eso y por religion es prohibido... La otra es que el acercamiento entre parejas se hace a traves de los padres, el padre le envia fotos de las mujeres que les parece bien y el decide, en fin, es otra cultura y es totalmente opuesta a la de nosotros. La religion imprime un sello bastante fuerte a su forma de vivir y relaconarse con otros. Su comida y en especial las carnes es Jalal, que basicamente tiene que ver con la forma como se mata al animal. Esta relacionado con la creencia de que se mata no por negocio sino para obtener comida y sobrevivir, En fin, la religion es preponderante en cada paso que dan y la forma como se relacionan con los demas. Estos muchachos son muy buenas personas, yo he tratado con otros Pakistanies y creame que ya he aprendido a diferenciar los buenos de los malos. Estos son como decimos en Colombia, muchachos de la casa!! jajajaj En fin estuvo vacanisimo.

Cuando se sirvio la comida yo estaba con un hambre la hijueputa... no habia comido como por cuatro horas, esperando el botin.. en la foto se puede ver como miro la comida antes de que fuera servida y Val, no se queda atras... el hombre estaba hambriento!!!

El plato se llama Biryani. La descripcion colombian es, una ollada de arroz con pollo, es picante como un hijueputa!!! Comi hasta que me supo a cacho!! jejejejejejeje. esa esotra cosa que he aprendido en Europa, ya resisto cualquier calse de picante, en Colombia no lo podia ni mirar, aqui me pongo al nivel de los thailandeses y los pakistanies, pero no he podido alcanzar las de los indues, esta gente como es picante.. no comida!!!!

As I told oyu before, I decided to take one more course, it is called Web Programming in Java Script. Cool, I'm learning a lot and redoing a lot of my web site. I did my web site 7 months ago, that was a selflearning process, but the one that I'm doing now is a lot better and including a well strcuture and following the international standras of w3c. Good!!!

Como les dije antes, decidi tomar un nuevo curso llamado Web programming in java script. Vacanismo, estoy aprendiendo montones y estoy rehaciendo mi pagina web. Esa pagina web la hicew 7 meses atras y fue mas un proceso de auto aprendizaje, pero la que estoy hacidno ahora es mucho mejor y estoy incluyendo una mejor estructura y siguiendo estandares internacionales de la w3c. El domingo me estoy moviendo para Karlsham, empieza mi entrenamiento como repartidor de periodicos del pueblo!!! jajajajajajaja.. voy a mamar frio como un hijueputa!!! el trabajito es repartir periodicos en una zona del pueblo de 2 a 6 de la manana, se imaginan yo en una cicla repartiendo peridicos en este malparido invierno!!! jajajajajajaja.. eso va a ser la cagada!!!!

I'm moving on sunday to Karlsham, my job as a newspaper distributor is starting!!!! jajajaja .. i gonna caught a lots of quantities of focking winter cold!!!! the job is deliver newspaper in certain zone of the twon between 2 and 6 am in the morning, could you ever imagine me, riding a bike in this mother fuck!&"^&£ winter!!!! jajajajaja... it's gonna be a fuck!*£"&^ hell!!!

Que he estado haciendo toda esta semana?

un poco deprimido, un poco de trabajo en el curso de web programming, un poco de tesis y mirando peliculas... Lo de deprimido es normal, a mi me pega muy duro la primera semana de invierno, jueputa frio y todo oscuro pega muy duro, afortunadamente es solo la primera semana, esto de ser latino no va con este clima tan frio, estos de aca estaran acostumbrados y son tan frios como el clima, pero yo no puedo. En fin ya paso, seguro ya paso, era solo cuestion de una semana, yo estaba esperando a que me llegara, como dicen las mujeres.. ya llego ya se fue, ahora siento menos frio, ya ando mas desabrigado y todo comienza a ser normal de nuevo, lo unico que falta es la nieve pesada, pero esa debe llegar en enero o finales de diciembre, eso espero, pero puede llegar en cualquier momento!!! Tambien he estado trabajando en la tesis, pero confieso que muy poco, lo otro que he hecho es el curso de web programming, es buenisimo y eso me ha ayudado mucho para cambiar de actividad y tener otra actividad diferente a la tesis. Lo otro que he hecho es mirar pelis o movies a la lata!!! Aui tenemos un p2p, es como una red interna y bajo peliculas como loco... eso tamboien desestreza y desaburre un poco.. de resto nada!!!

Ah bueno llame a mi decana en la escuela colombiana de ingenieria, a lo mejor hay una oportunidad de trabajo, esperemos aver que pasa!!! no anticipo nada.. solo esperemos!!!

vegetarian dinner!!!

I could say, I don't remmember the last oportunity I tried vegetrian food!! Ok.. Birgit is vegetarian.. so tonight Andre, Birgit and me "cooked" vegetarian food... it was delicious, a bunch of vegetables, fake meat, fruit juice and scrubs (tv series).

I ate a lot, but I confess i can not eat more than twice in one day, I need my real meat. But i felt good, i felt tasting something healthy and delicious....

Ok. ok... hoy trabaje toda la manana en la tesis, desde las 8 hasta la 1 pm.. fue sufieicnte, despues de eso no tenia ni ganas ni queria seguir escribiendo, muchas veces se me va la inspiracion, asi que prefiero descansar, ya me falta solo una seccion para acabar el primer capitulo de nuevo, pero voy a esperar a que pase el fin de semana para enviarlo, el viernes lo termino y descanso el sabado y vuelvo a retomar el domingo para enviarlo el lunes, lo hice de acuerdo a todos los comentarios de Phillippe, espero todo vaya bien y sea aceptado!!!

Las fotros que ven son de Karslkrona, en la tarde fui y me di una vuelta por el pueblo y los almacenes, creanme que es lo unico para hacer en este pueblo aparte de estudiar y hacer deporte.. coji el bus que es gratis, porque el otro campus queda en esa ciudad y me fui a pasear.. la pase rico pero no me tome ni una gaseosa, pero a cambio de eso me compre una camiseta: aqui hay unos almacenes que son famosos en toda Europa y que se llaman H&M, es sueco y tiene ropa barata y bonita, es ropa informal y de temporada, yo diria que es como una combinacion de Azucar y Tenis... la ropa es diferente, aqui la ropa se usa pegada al cuerpo, el frio es la razon, cuando llevas la ropa pegada al cuerpo el frio no se te mete y te sientes mas abrigado, por eso la moda sueca es diferente a la que se lleva en Londres: aqui los panatlones se usan pegados al cuerpo y se utiliza mucha camiseta, la camisa se utiliza pero no mucho. Las camisetas se llevan pegadas al cuerpo y abriga muchisimo mas. Suecia es mas fria que el resto de Europa, mejor dicho este es un pais Nordico, el frio es mas intenso y mientras el resto de Europa esta a 5 grados aqui ya estamos entre -1 y -5. Por eso me gusta que llueva porque no llueve duro, es oscurito y hace menos frio, cuando llueve se pone entre 0 y 7, que es buenisimo y no pega duro.... Despues de brujitas, viene Navidad, algunos arboles ya estan con luces, esto es como en Colombia, solo esperan a que pase brujas para arrancar Navidad.... Mas delante les coloco una foto muy bonita que tome en la estacion de buses!!! chao!!

This morning I woke up positive, i said to myself.. come on orly you can do it!!! but now, sitting in front of the computer and finding more comments..ohh my gosh.. I felt my chapter is gone and I have to redo almost everything!!! a lot of the ideas I had, simply doesn't work!!! it's hard... i have to read more and find out which is the way to go!!! honestly... i feel for a run.. and run away!!! for a while!!! jejejeje

Esta manana me levante positivo, y me dije.. vamos orly tu puedes!! pero ahora, sentando en frente del computador y encontrando mas comentarios.. oh dios mio.. yo siento que mi capitulo se fue y tengo que hacer todo de nuevo!!! muchas de las ideas que tenia no sirven!!! esto es duro.. yo tengo que leer mas y mas y encontrar la solucion!!! honestamente.. yo siento ganas de correr y huir!!! por un ratico!!! jejejejeje

After three hours ...Ok... now is better.. I worked during the morning.. I found good stuff and I feel i can finish this chapter in this week!!! it's my goal!!!

Some Comments!!!

My gosh!!!! what the f..!!!!

My first chapter have been reviewed for my Supervisor... forget it!!! there are no good news... if I have to talk seriously, I could say, the chapter has to be redo!!! As susual I spoke to him this morning, the first thing he asked me was: Are you depressed? I said: NO.. i'm fine. but I was really sad... this guy just filled up my document with red comments!!! of course I'm happy in one sense... it was a real review... very detailed and proposing new ideas for the chpater... good.. but still a lot of work to go in this chapter!!!

This is a copy of the email I recieved this morning:

Some remarks about the things you have to do:
1- put the reference at the end in the harvard citation standard style (which is the standard for MA dissertation and beyond).
2- review the part where you talk about the IBM 360 and the waterfall model in more detail (or more clearly presented).
3- in one part, you relie too much on Boehm paper which is fine as a start but try to work it out step by step.
4- need to say something about the software industry itself (the microsoft part somewhere) which is always accompanied of change in hardware.
5- put the plan of the Master before the first page of your document, so we have a sense of the overall work (even if the plan changes).
6- I think that there is a lot of work that you can re-use by formatting differently this part. Here in this part, keep it simple, have far less part (perhaps 3: 1, 2, 3) and not sub-division and sub-sub division that make it too difficult.
The other parts (as I mention it in the text, and sometimes you can see for yourself) you can use them as the first draft of the chapter 2, 3 and 4. So you can do some copy and paste in the new chapters already, which is work that has not been done in vain.

Dios mio!!!! que paso..hijue!!!

Mi primer capitulo fue revisado, olvidenlo!!! no son buenas noticias... habalndo seriamente tengo que volver a hacer el capitulo de nuevo. Como siempre yo hable con el esta manana, lo primero que me pregunto fue: esta deprimido y yo dije NO.. estoy bien. pero la verdad estaba muy triste.. este man relleno de rojo todo el documento!!! claro, yo estoy contento en un sentido y es que fue una buena revision... muy detallada y proponiendo nuevas ideas para el capitulo.. bueno.. pero queda mucho trabajo para terminar este capitulo!!!

Now... keep working on it.. there is no choice... Ahora seguir trabajando en eso.. no hay opcion...

Lunes second chapter

Ok, let's go and read.. the second chapter is just starting!!! I got 6 papers to read, this morning I will read and skim two of them and perhaps some ideas will jump!! I hope so... It is difficult, because before to start you don't know what you want, you just have a weird idea about the chapter, but nothing is clear... ok... let's go to read and see what happens!!!!

Voy a ir a leer un rato.. el segundo capitulo esta comenzando!!! Tengo como 6 documentos para leer, en la manana voy a leer y exprimir 2 de ellos y a lo mejor salgan agunas ideas!!! Espero eso... es muy dificil, porque antes de comenzar uno no sabe ni lo que quiere, uno solo tiene una idea vaga acerca del capitulo, pero nada es claro... ok.. vamos a leer y a mirar que pasa!!!! bye bye

Ok, this morning it wasn't that cold!!! but i was prepared.. anyways.. i decided to dress up properly.. sometimes you go out there and it's not cold.. but is a few minutes the weather changes suddenly and you may suffer a lot.. so it's better to be prepared!!!
Esta manana no estuvo tan fria!!! pero yo estaba preparadp de todas formas!!! decidi vestirme con todo la proteccion posible.. muchas veces tu sales y no esta tan frio, pero a los pocos minutos el clima cambia repentinamente y uno sufre como un berraco.. por eso decidi estar preparado!!!

Hoy me levante temprano y me vine al hotel, tengo que organizar una cantidad de cosas para la semana que viene. Es mejor empezar a organizarlas desde ya para el lunes poderme dedicarme de lleno en mis actividades de la tesis. Sorry for the english speakers, since this blog is to long and i'm so lazy today, there is no traslation to english. There are no pictures about the party because this blog has censorship.. so sorry for the inconvenience!!!! jejejejeje...

Ok... la parranda de Lund estuvo buenisima, eso fue un completo desorden... pero como siempre el negrito se porto a la altura, baile, goze, tome, hable con miles de viejas.. pero nada juiciosa, ni siquiera lo intente... estuvo muy bueno y goze la rumba como me la queria gozar!!!

No tengo fotos y no se si tomaron fotos, pero desde que llegue se me olvido el tema de las fotos, esto era una rumba total... La cosa fue asi, imaginen un edificio de mas o menos 3 pisos, la verdad no me acuerdo cuantos, porque la rumba empezo desde la casa de Julio y nos tomamos como dos botellas de vodka desde antes de salir. Habian algunos disfrazados y otros no, yo no lleve nada, llevaba una camiseta negra del bar donde trabajo en Londres y nada mas. Entramos, gente por todos lados del edificio, adecuaron el living room como pista de baile y a eso no le cabia un tinto... lleno de hembritas en todo lado y no cualquier tipo de hembritas, la mayoria de la gente borracha y cuando bailabas, no bailabas te empujaban e ibas con la multitud de un lado a otro, asi que yo senti que toque muchas cosas!!! jejejejejeje!! Conoci dos espanoles amigos de Julio, que pena, no me aucerdo de los nombres, como buenos espanoles amantes de la rumba, el ron y las mujeres... este par de locos, si la saben pasar bueno... en fin... desde que este blog esta censurado, no puedo contar mas, lo unico que puedo decir es que fui fiel a mis principios!!! jejeje y la pase muy rico...

Fue una puteria... muy vacano, al final volvimos a la casa, y nos toco dormir en la cocina, yo lleve mi colchon infable y pufffff!!!! como una roca, hasta el otro dia, al otro dia nos levantamos y como buenos turistas nos fuimos pal pueblo... fuimos a la iglesia, rezamos, dimos una buena vuelta por el parque central, comimos, y casi nos quedamos pa la rumba del sabado, pero fueron tres votos en contra contra uno.. asi que decidimos volver a Ronneby y sale.. no fue mas.. de vuelta a mi hermoso Ronneby que aunque calmado y aburrido, lo prefiero asi, es el ambiente optimo para estudiar y escribir una tesis...

Me voy para Lund, es una ciudad del putas... esta situada en la region de Öresund, esta construida al estilo medieval y es una ciudad magica porque esta llena de edificios antiguos y zonas verdes... Tiene una de las universidades mas grandes en Suecia y esta llena de estudiantes internacionales!!

Para esta ciudad, salgo a la 5:00 pm. Hay una rumba la hp.... esta noche, Como es una ciudad con tantos estudiantes, la rumba se arma muy facil y es en los corrdores de los edificios, asi que no hay que salir del mismo edificio, eso es lo mejor, esta noche es Halloween!!! Mi amigo Julio (mexicano) es el que vive en Lund, es un apartamento como el mio, apenas pa dos personas, pero nos vamos 12 personas!!! Habra gente a la lata y se que la voy a pasarla riquisimo... me quedare en la casa de Julio y me voy en el carro con los alemanes.. mejor dicho vamos casi todos!!!

This morning, as usual I woke up and go to Uni... I was reviewing papers and I found one really interesting paper written by Paul Dourish(big guru in Ubiquitous Computing).... reading this document I realized that I have a big lack in my first chapter in terms of CSCW. The approach in this paper is a bit far from the one I did wrote in my paper... so I'm sad with the final result in my fisrt chapter. Ok..I did send an email to my supervisor, telling him about it... But I'm not happy at the moment!!! Anyways, I've to wait for some feedback first before start to make changes in mine!!!

Esta manana me levante y me fui como simpre para la U.. Yo estaba revisando papeles y encontre un docuemnto buenisimo escrito por Paul Dourisch( el man mas duro en Computacion Ubicua)... leyendo este papel me di cuanta que yo tengo una gran deficiencia en terminos de CSCW. La aproximacion en este papel esta muy lejos de la que yo he escrito en mi papel.. esoty triste con el resultado final de mi primer capitulo.. Ok.. yo envie un email a mi supervisor contandole acerca de esto... Pero no estoy feliz con esto!!! de todas formas, yo tengo que esperar por los comentarios primero antes de hacer algun cambio en mi capitulo!!!

It was cool, happy birthday in german, english, sirian, libannese, french and spanish!!! Muffins and movie... We started at 9, chilling and chating.. then the movie like at 10. You, me and Dupree.. good movie.. it is a comedy!!! everybody likes it and it was finishing around midnight!! Delicious muffins, sparkling wine, I drunk one beer.. One of the gift was a swedish flag, everybody sign the flag with personal wishes to her!!! But I think the most important gift to Birgit, was the high regard everybody feel for her. The lovely german girl had an smile in her face during the all night.

Fue chevere, feliz cunmpleanos in aleman, ingles, sirio, libanes, frances y espanol. Pastelitos y pelicula... Comenzamos como a las 9, gozando y hablando.. depues vino la peli como a las 10. Tu, yo y Dupree.. good movie.. es una comedia!!! a todo el mundo le gusta la movie y fur terminando como a la media noche!! Deliciososo pastelitos, vino espumoso, Yo tome una cerveza.. Uno de los regalos fue una bandera de Suecia, todos firmaron la bandera con deseos personales hacia ella!!! Pero yo pienso el regalo mas importante fue que Birgit , pudo sentir el gran aprecio de todos en el grupo. La amorosa alemana tuvo una sonrisa en su cara durante toda la noche.

Para este segundo capitulo tengo que ponerme las pilas, porque no voy a tener todo el tiempo que tuve en el primero debido al trabajito en karlsham que se me viene a mediados de noviembre..

Writing the second chapter will be more stressful because of the time, i won't have the time I had for the first chapter due to my logistic position in karlsham (shit job), it will start mid of november.

Me voy para Karslkrona, tengo que comprar ropa, esta haciendo un frio muy hijueputa este invierno, en los treas anos que llevo, nunca habia sentido tanto frio como en este, la primera semana me da duro, pero este clima esta terribel!!!
